Interwoven (mindfulness post for 2/6/17)
We all want to be happy. But the pursuit of our own happiness without regard to other people’s joy ignores one crucial fact: our joy is tied to the joy of others. Research has shown us that acts of generosity and kindness can improve our physical and mental health. When we give, we also receive. And so, in pursuing our own joy, we must support and want joy for the world around us as well. We can not have one without the other.
